Fall Household Hazardous Waste Collection and Paint Drop and Swap - October 7
9 am - 2 pm at Harwood Union High School, Route 100, Duxbury

Accepted items: Fluorescent light bulbs, household cleaners and pesticides, architectural paint (oil and latex), mercury thermostats, batteries, crankcase oil. Up to ten additional gallons of household hazardous chemicals at no charge. There is a fee of $4/gal for liquid or $4/lb for solid hazardous chemicals over the amount described above.
Not accepted: Radioactive waste, including some smoke detectors, propane tanks and other compressed gases, infectious waste, or explosives (ammunition, flares).
Composting Workshop - April 15
10-11 am at the Waterbury Municipal Library
Participation in this workshop entitles you to purchase a Soil Saver Compost Bin for only $26, which is half the normal price of $52. We will also offer Green Cones for just $75 following this event. These will be available 12-1 pm on April 15 at the Old Armory across from the Thatcher Brook Elementary School.
Green Up Day - May 6
We will collect car and pickup truck tires at the Earthwise Transfer Station in Waitsfield on Green Up Day, from 8 am to 1 pm
Spring Household Hazardous Waste collection - May 13
