GreenUp VermontGreen Up Day Tire and Metal Collection

May 5, 2012, 8 am - 12 noon

Green Up Day Tire and Metal Collections at the Moretown Landfill from 8 am to 12 pm on May 5 with car and pick up truck tires with or without rims for $2.50 each and at the Earthwise Transfer Station in Waitsfield from 8 am to 1 pm with the same price.

All appliances can be disposed at no charge, except for Freon Containing Units:

Refrigerators or freezers - $10.00
Air conditioners and dehumidifiers - $15.00
Commercial coolers - $150.00

 

Green Up Day Coordination

If you collect roadside litter or help with other public cleanup projects on Green Up Day, you can bring the Green Plastic Green Up Bags at no charge to the following locations on Saturday May 5, 2012:

 

>  Moretown Landfill, Inc. on Rt.2 in Moretown from 8 am to 12 pm;
>  Collection rolloff located at the Town Highway Garage on Guptil Road in Waterbury Center from 9 am to 3 pm; and
>  Earthwise Transfer Station located on Rt. 100 in Waitsfield from 8 am to 1 pm. 

 

Check with your local Green Up Coordinator to see if there are any special projects going on in your community on Green Up Day.

Green Up Bags should be available from your Green Up Coordinator or Town Clerk.
